Do you know how that grows?
How can we incorporate sustainability and environmental care into our curriculum in a fun and educational way? That is one of the most important questions we ask to grow green. Students work step by step; first think, then act. We work with recycled materials, come up with ideas for environmentally friendly products, dig in the vegetable garden and learn how and why something grows and blooms. Children become technically skilled, creative and they also learn how to consciously treat the earth well.
By incorporating Green into our education, children discover how they can do something for a sustainable future. It is not just about what they make, but also about how they think about the world around them.
How can technology help us?
How do we prepare our children for digitalisation? What is that actually? Together we develop our digital skills and discover the possibilities of technology. Pupils not only learn how digital tools work, but also how they can use them creatively and responsibly to solve problems and realise innovative ideas.
They develop skills that are essential for the future, such as problem-solving thinking, creativity and critical use of the digital world. This way, they will certainly make it in a society in which technology plays an increasingly important role.
Do you take good care of yourself and others?
How do we ensure that children can take good care of themselves and others? Only when you know why, can you start working on how. Care and Well-being focuses on confidence in your own knowledge and skills. During the activities (such as cooking and care), children learn to use their creativity to help others and their environment. We combine practical skills with social involvement and encourage children to independently and/or together with other children come up with solutions that contribute to the well-being of themselves, other people, animals and the neighbourhood.
Do you know how this technique works?
How do we let children discover what they can make themselves? Yes, everything is possible, but that is precisely what makes it difficult. In order to make something beautiful, we work step by step. Children discover technical possibilities, develop the associated skills and learn to think in terms of solutions. In the technology room, children experience how they can use technology and tools to design and realize practical and creative solutions.
Characteristics of this profile are:
In addition to technical knowledge and skills, children also learn to think critically, collaborate and plan. We give children the space to experiment, make mistakes and learn from them, while working on projects that are in line with what they enjoy. Bricksems, that's nicely made!
